PA Copydirect services are designed to help our customers with copy processing allowing them to concentrate on their core business.

We supply copytaking services to all the UK's national newspapers and many regional titles.

Our team of experienced audio typists allows journalists in the field to get their stories back to the newsroom quickly and accurately, 365 days a year. Each of our customers has an individual team, their own dedicated phone numbers and a secure data link into their editorial system.

Injunctions Alert Service
Those who wish to apply to the High Court of England and Wales for injunctions which will affect the media's rights to report must contact PA Copydirect by telephoning +44 (0)870 837 6429. Contact with the Injunctions Alert Service cannot be made via this website, or by any method other than by telephoning the number above.

PA Copydirect services are also available to any organisation requiring the transcription and transmission of verbal information. Current non-media customers include:

The Football Association and Rugby Football League – referees call our copytakers to transcribe their match reports.
Press Card Verification Services - we validate journalists' press cards on behalf of the Metropolitan police.

Last year our 200 staff based in Leeds and Howden, East Yorkshire transcribed over 12 million words for our customers.
